There are several ways to work with us: Residential/Live-in Support AssistantFull training, accommodation and housing expenses, food and a monthly living allowance of £355 is provided. Non-residential/Live-in Support Assistant We are currently (January 2021) looking for people with 1+ years experience and the Care Certificate (or equivalent qualification), and whilst we welcome applications from people of all genders, we are prioritising applications from female candidates to balance our team and the range of support we offer. In late Spring 2021, we hope to be able to offer a small number of entry level roles for those new to care looking to start in March - April 2021. We would encourage those who are interested to apply now. All roles are open to UK citizens and those who already have permission to work in the UK. Unfortunately we are not able to sponsor visas for these roles. Entry level starting salary is £21,612 per year. (Base salary £18,924 plus £2688 for sleepovers based on an average of 2 sleepovers a week.) For those with 1+ year’s experience in UK Care and with Care Certificate/ equivalent qualification the starting salary is £22,268 (Base rate £19580 plus £2688 for sleepovers based on an average of 2 sleepovers a week).All roles require a minimum of a 1 year commitment. Relief/Bank Support AssistantsWe are always looking for people with previous L'Arche experience (either from L'Arche London or other L'Arche communities around the world) or external candidates with relevant care experience to join our team of Relief Assistants.To find out more about this opportunity, click on the blue heading above to download the role description. This is a flexible working role, with hours dependent on your availability and the needs of the people you support. We are looking for people to join us for at least one year.Our hourly rate works out as £9.77 per hour (including holiday pay). We also pay a base fee of £28 per sleep over and operate a top up scheme to ensure that every hour of a 9 hour sleepover is paid at National Minimum Wage.
