L'Arche London is a diverse, inclusive community of over 100 people, with and without learning disabilities that live, work and celebrate together. Our Day Services team plays a key role in our community, helping people with learning disabilities to live active lives through a programme of social, skills-based and therapeutic art, design and craft activities. We're looking for someone to join the team to help us run, grow and develop this exciting programme.

Day-to-day you will coordinate and run a range of art and craft activities, supporting community members with learning disabilities to develop their skills and try new things. Our programme currently includes textiles and weaving, candle making, printing and card making, painting and collage. We are looking for someone who can lead and inspire others as you will be leading a small group of support assistants and volunteers working in the workshop, providing direct support for people with learning disabilities.

As part of the Day Services team, you will help develop, pilot and evaluate new activities to ensure our programme is person-centred and responsive to the passions, interests and abilities of the people we support, as well as attractive to potential new service users.

You will contribute to the development of our foyer shop as an exhibition and promotional space, and you will assist community members to develop products for sale and. You will also help to develop stronger links with current and potential partners and supporters in the local area, such local volunteer groups, churches and schools.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and thoughtful facilitator, who is committed to providing inclusive, creative craft opportunities for people with learning disabilities, and would value the opportunity to develop their practice in a supportive team setting.
